Treatments for specific types of Acne Scar
An acne scars can be deep or shallow, small or large, and dark or light in appearance. Even the best acne-treatment in the city cannot stop an acne scar from its development, because the original structure has been compromised by skin infection. The good news is that there are many effective ways to significantly reduce the appearance of an acne scar so that it is invisible to the naked eye.
But not all acne scars cut equal to the skin, pun not intended. Don't expect an atrophic scars heal in the same manner and should be treated with similar approaches as a hypertrophic scar simply because these are two different types. While an atrophic scars caused by loss of tissue, is a hypertrophic scar caused by excess tissue.
Within these two common types of acne formation are four subtypes. Remember that each type of ar have specific causes, treatments and appearance, just as there are many treatment options. It is best to work with a qualified dermatologist in the treatment of acne formation you might notwithstanding, to avoid worsening the skin's current state.
ICE pick Scars
An ice-pick scars looks as if it were the measurement of the dipped-beam headlamps on the skin using an ice pick or other pointed instrument. The result is a deep, narrow hole in the skin, also can resemble a large and open pore size. This type of acne formation develops after a potato cyst nematodes infection works its way towards the skin surface. When the skin heals, remains a column-like scar.
Effective treatment for an ice-pick scars can be either Punch excision or Punch grafting. Both involve fission ar with a Punch tool and then either suturing Close the skin edges (Punch excision) or fill out the skin defect with a graft (Punch grafting). Resurfacing techniques will then make the scar less noticeable.
Boxcar Scars
A boxcar acne scar results from the destruction of collagen, due to a provocative breakout. It appears as a round or oval depression combined with steep vertical sides. Think of the skin with the pitted appearance of an orange, albeit with a wider diameter of the holes. Similar to type ice-pick, a boxcar scars correspond well to the punch excision. Other options include laser resurfacing, dermal fillers, although results will vary depending on the formation the actual seriousness of the situation.
Rolling Scars
A rolling scar resembles a wavy undulating across normal skin. It is the result of fibrous bands skin tissues pulling in the epidermis, leading to rolling the appearance of the skin surface. Dermatologists use often the procedure is known as subcision version problems skin tissues of the affected area is separated from the deeper scar tissue. Resurfacing treatments can then be managed after the incision has healed to smooth the skin's appearance.
Hypertrophic Scars
A hypertrophic scar appears as a raised, flat and potato cyst-like tissues, often grow larger than the original pimple yourself. Most of these scars occur on torso instead of the face.
